This year I will begin playing an instrument that I have been drawn to for a very long time. I'm excited to announce that Rees Harp Company out of Rising Sun, Indiana is going to be teaming up with me on my musical journey and building me a custom 34 string harp! They are really good people and their harps are played by many world class harpists. I am so grateful for their interest in seeing what I will do with the harp. I'm going to have some serious work to dive into but I hope to come out if integrating unique techniques of playing and shining a new light on this incredible instrument. Candyrat Records, who have presented artists like Andy McKee, Antoine Dufuor and many other great musicians, is now distributing and

introduced to their 240,000 subscribers. Both the CD and DVD are now for
sale at Candyrat.com

"In September of 2012 Jake Allen and his band set up their gear inside a recording studio in Traverse City, MI and performed Jake's newest record "Etherica" in it's entirety with a seven piece band line up and a video crew there to document the performance. The result, a high def audio/video exhibition of a powerful musical message, delivered by a group of young awakened musicians. "The Hollow Sound of Melody" will be showed publicly for the first time at the Ole Barn in Allen's hometown of Grayling, MI. Following the showing of the film will be multiple live sets from the Jake Allen Band themselves. A limited number of first run DVDs will be available for purchase at the show.
